01Common complaints

- Company sizes or stages where this product is overkill or insufficient - Very small brokerages or teams without a dedicated recruiting motion may not realize sufficient ROI from a demo-led, intelligence-focused platform. - Industries or use cases where competitors are clearly better aligned - If the priority is agent marketing automation, CRM functionality, transaction coordination, and daily agent productivity, full-suite platforms (MoxiWorks, Inside Real Estate, Lone Wolf) may be better aligned. - Technical requirements that this product cannot meet - If an organization requires native CRM integrations today (bi-directional sync, automated activity logging), Courted’s stated lack of direct third-party CRM integration is a constraint. - Budget constraints that make alternatives more appropriate - If procurement requires transparent, low-cost self-serve plans, Courted’s demo-led pricing model may be a barrier; competitors with published entry pricing may be easier to budget for. - Specific workflows or integrations where the product falls short - Organizations that rely on a single system-of-record CRM and cannot tolerate export-based workflows may face operational challenges. - Red flags in the buying process - If the vendor cannot provide required security/compliance documentation (SOC 2, penetration test reports, subprocessors) when requested, this can delay or block procurement. - Current limitations acknowledged by the vendor - No direct integration with third-party CRMs (explicit in Courted FAQ). - Features on the roadmap (not yet available) - No detailed public roadmap was found in accessible sources. - Scale limitations (at what volume/size does it break down?) - Not publicly documented. - Security or compliance gaps - Publicly documented security certifications (SOC 2/ISO) were not identified in accessible sources. - Technical debt or architectural limitations mentioned in reviews - Not found (limited independent review content). - API limitations or integration constraints - Courted states API access is available, but details (rate limits, object model, authentication methods, event webhooks) are not publicly documented in accessible sources.

Deal disqualifiers: what makes a POOR fit

Brokerages that:
- Require deep out-of-the-box CRM integrations (Courted notes limited direct integrations)
- Conduct minimal recruiting activity (insufficient volume to justify an intelligence layer)
- Operate in markets with limited MLS/data coverage or other data constraints
- Require strict, publicly documented compliance certifications before vendor engagement

02Why they buy

- Competitive advantages validated by customer feedback and industry coverage - Industry review coverage highlights Courted’s combined recruiting, retention, and market research features and notes the product’s interface and actionable signals as strengths for certain users. - Unique features and capabilities competitors lack (as marketed) - Courted’s integrated "Recruit / Retain / Research" packaging and the ComposeAI messaging workflow are presented by the vendor as a combined value proposition focused on recruiting and retention. - Differentiation from competitors based on available reviews and coverage - Independent review data is limited; differentiation is primarily supported by industry press and vendor-published testimonials rather than broad independent user reviews. - Areas where competitors have advantages - Relitix: more transparent entry pricing and trial options that lower evaluation friction. - Suite vendors (MoxiWorks, Inside Real Estate): broader operational feature sets that can make them central to daily agent workflows.

03Field reports

- Important limitation: lack of mainstream review-platform coverage - No Courted product page with user reviews was found on major review platforms (e.g., G2, TrustRadius, Capterra) during this research. - Gartner Peer Insights search did not surface an accessible Courted listing; Gartner Peer Insights can also be difficult to access and may not list niche proptech tools. - As a result, review evidence is largely vendor-published testimonials and industry press commentary, which tend to be less balanced than aggregated user-review platforms. - Vendor-published testimonials (positive; marketing context) - Courted homepage testimonials include statements such as a VP/Director of Growth & Development reporting that Courted performed more favorably than previous platforms, with perceived improvements in data accuracy and usability. - Additional vendor-published text references streamlined recruiting and retention workflows, described usability, and automated recommendation features. - Critical lens: - These testimonials are curated by the vendor and are likely to reflect best-case users rather than an unbiased sample. - Industry press / independent commentary (mixed) - An industry product review update is generally positive and characterized Courted as central to certain recruiting workflows for some brokerages; the review also raised a cultural concern that the tool may intensify recruiting competition and bidding for top producers. - Community/social reviews (Reddit / HackerNews) - Courted-specific Reddit and HackerNews discussions were not readily found in accessible sources during this research. - Why customers chose this product over alternatives (evidence-weighted) - Based on vendor materials and industry coverage, likely drivers include: - Predictive analytics and agent movement signals (timing outreach) - Integration of recruiting, retention, and market research features in a single interface - Workflow/pipeline organization oriented to recruiters and brokerage leaders - Why some customers left for competitors (churn reasons) - No direct churn narratives were identified in accessible sources; this is a gap due to limited independent review volume. - Specific outcomes customers achieved (with metrics when available) - Vendor-published / partner-quoted metrics include statements such as onboarding a small number of agents in a short period (testimonial) and industry articles noting customer roster growth and company profitability claims. - Industry coverage reported that Courted had achieved several hundred customers across many markets, multi-fold year-over-year revenue growth, and reported recent profitability; these figures are reported in industry coverage but were not independently audited within this research. - Deal-breakers and reasons customers didn’t purchase - Not directly documented in accessible sources. - Inferred procurement concerns include: - Lack of direct CRM integrations - MLS coverage gaps or data permission constraints - Procurement/security documentation needs for larger enterprises

Vendor case studies and success stories (availability)

Courted’s blog includes several case-study style posts (e.g., Michael Saunders & Company; ONE Sotheby’s recruiting results).
Industry press has covered Courted’s brokerage partnerships and included anecdotal usage.

Example: Michael Saunders & Company (vendor case study)

Courted’s blog indicates the brokerage used predictive analytics and AI-assisted tools to recruit, retain, and expand.
Critical evaluation:
- This is vendor-published; the methodology and counterfactual (what would have happened without Courted) are not provided.

Example: ONE Sotheby’s International Realty (vendor blog claim)

Courted’s blog includes a claim relating to recruiting volume attributed to use of the platform.
Critical evaluation:
- Without full case study detail, it is unclear how metrics are calculated, what attribution model is used, and whether independent validation exists.

Industry-press "case study" style coverage

Industry outlets have described Courted’s recruiting focus and partnerships and reported anecdotal examples of use.

Methodology gaps to flag (common across vendor ROI claims)

Vendor-adjacent ROI narratives lack disclosed methodology. Buyers should request:
- Definitions of "positive ROI" (company dollar, net recruiting margin, reduced recruiter hours)
- Baseline periods and control groups
- Attribution methodology (what portion of recruited agent moves is credited to the platform vs recruiter relationships, compensation changes, or market conditions)

04Best fit

Company sizes: specific employee counts and revenue ranges

- Likely best fit: - Mid-size to large residential brokerages (multi-office or growth-focused companies) that invest in dedicated recruiting and managerial roles. - Heuristic: brokerages of mid-to-large scale where moderate improvements in recruiting and retention materially affect company revenue. - Smaller teams may still benefit if they recruit actively, but demo-led pricing and change management overhead may reduce cost-effectiveness.

Industries and verticals where adoption is strongest

Residential real estate brokerages and teams.
Most relevant in markets with robust MLS/data coverage and high recruiting competition (major metropolitan areas).

Roles and personas: decision makers AND end users

Decision makers:
- Brokerage owners, CEOs, presidents
- Head of growth / recruiting
- Regional or market leaders
End users:
- Recruiting coordinators / sales directors
- Office managers and team leaders
- Retention-focused leadership roles

Pain points and challenges the product addresses

Identifying agents with a higher propensity to move to avoid inefficient outreach
Timing outreach around transaction cycles and agent momentum
Detecting disengagement or flight risk among in-house agents
Reducing manual market research effort for leadership

Qualification criteria: what makes a GREAT fit

Brokerage with:
- A repeatable recruiting process (pipelines, cadences, accountability)
- Willingness to act on data signals (as opposed to only relationship-based recruiting)
- Markets covered by Courted’s market data footprint
- A need for competitive benchmarking and agent movement intelligence

Real customer examples with company names when available
