1) You need a vendor-neutral TIP first
If the strategy is to ingest dozens of intelligence feeds (ISACs, OSINT, commercial feeds) and orchestrate them across a wide range of security controls, a dedicated TIP or a different intelligence provider may be a better core choice.
2) Your organization is highly cost constrained
Organizations that struggle to justify EDR spend may find Falcon Intelligence difficult to justify; reviews frequently cite cost concerns.
3) Your organization cannot operationalize CTI
Without processes and staff for intelligence requirements, analysis, dissemination, and detection engineering, intelligence outputs may not translate into operational improvements. Consider MDR or a smaller-scope intelligence approach if internal capabilities are limited.
4) You have extreme sensitivity to endpoint stability and change control
The July 2024 Windows incident demonstrates that platform-level updates can have significant operational impact. Organizations with conservative change windows should seek contractual controls and assurances about staged rollout capabilities.
