1) You want host firewall management without adopting CrowdStrike Falcon
Falcon Firewall Management is an add-on module within the Falcon ecosystem; it is not positioned as a standalone endpoint firewall manager.
2) You require dual-control or merged policy sources (GPO/Intune + Falcon) without precedence conflicts
If the operating model requires Windows firewall rules to remain governed primarily by GPO/Intune and any additional controls must not override them, the enforcement behavior reported in community sources could be a disqualifier.
3) You lack capacity for careful staged rollout
If resources for pilot testing, monitoring, and iterative rule tuning are not available, misconfigurations can break business connectivity (printers, internal services, ICMP, etc.).
4) You primarily need a network firewall / NGFW management solution
Falcon Firewall Management is host-based; for perimeter/segmentation/firewalling between networks, products like Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Check Point are more appropriate.
5) Budget constraints or need for transparent list pricing
If predictable per-seat pricing without add-on ambiguity is required, the module-based licensing model may complicate procurement.
