Product-specific adoption numbers for FCR are not publicly available. Broader Fabric adoption metrics are reported by Equinix but do not isolate FCR usage.
| Starting Price | Not published as a single public number; tiered packages (entry through advanced) plus virtual circuits and bandwidth-based charges | Pricing information available but detailed costs often require portal/quote; positioned as a cloud router add-on | Typically enterprise NaaS with quote-based pricing; public list pricing limited |
| Suitable For | Organizations needing private multicloud routing with strong Equinix ecosystem density and cloud adjacency | Teams seeking a data-center-agnostic interconnect fabric where Megaport has presence | Organizations seeking managed network abstraction across clouds with richer policy/segmentation |
| Key Strength | Integration with Equinix ecosystem, cloud-adjacent metros, portal automation, and higher bandwidth options in certain metros | Broad PoP footprint in some regions and procurement simplicity for Megaport customers | Higher-level network policy abstraction and multi-cloud segmentation capabilities |
| Key Weakness | Cost complexity and dependence on Equinix footprint; same-metro endpoint constraints | Bandwidth and feature limits vary by region; reliance on a third-party fabric | Additional vendor overlay and potential cost/complexity for simple routing needs |
