GrayMeta provides software for professional "eyes-on-glass" video quality control (QC), reference playback, and validation, along with videotape digitization workflow tooling. Its primary product families are:
- Iris QC family (Iris QC Pro, Iris Anywhere QC, Iris Play, etc.): native-format playback, measurement (scopes/meters), standards validation (including Dolby ecosystems), collaboration, and workflow integrations. GrayMeta positions Iris as a software alternative to traditional QC rooms and hardware tools.
- SAMMA (System for the Automated Migration of Media Assets): a system intended to manage and run videotape-to-file digitization programs in-house for libraries/archives and similar organizations.
- Compar: a frame-accurate, pixel-level video comparison/analysis product intended for scalable content validation and repurposing workflows.
Important boundary: Iris is primarily designed as a manual QC and validation environment (human-in-the-loop), not as a fully automated QC engine; Iris QC Pro does not perform automated QC, but can import automated QC reports from other vendors for review and verification.
