IBM Z Operational Log and Data Analytics (IZLDA) is a mainframe-focused operational analytics solution that streams, filters, transforms, and analyzes IBM Z (z/OS) operational data and logs in near real time. Its primary function is to reduce mean time to identify and resolve incidents by correlating IBM Z operational signals with hybrid and cloud observability stacks.
It combines:
- Data streaming/collection via IBM Z Common Data Provider (CDPz)
- Prebuilt IBM Z insights, dashboards, and searches usable in IBM’s included log analytics experience and with external platforms such as Splunk and Elastic Stack
IBM describes the product as a connector between traditional mainframe operations data (SMF, RMF, SYSLOG, subsystem logs) and modern analytics and observability tools.
