Laudspeaker is an open-source, event-triggered customer engagement / customer journey automation platform. It is presented as an option targeted to developer teams and serves as an alternative to tools such as Customer.io, Braze, and Iterable. The product provides a visual (drag-and-drop) journey builder for orchestrating multi-step messaging and onboarding flows across channels including email, SMS, push notifications, webhooks, and occasionally Slack/in-app messaging as described in community materials.
A key difference compared with many traditional SaaS competitors is the explicit option to self-host (on-premises or in the customer's cloud), enabling organizations to retain control of customer data and reduce vendor lock-in. A hosted SaaS offering has also been referenced.
Evidence for functionality and positioning is available in public repository documentation and community posts documenting features such as the visual journey builder, segmentation, channels, A/B testing, and templating.
