- If an organization only needs basic benefits administration and has an existing broker relationship they prefer to retain, a lighter-weight benefits administration tool (Employee Navigator, Ease, or PlanSource, depending on broker ecosystem) may be more cost-effective.
- If the organization requires an all-in-one HRIS plus payroll platform as the primary system of record and benefits are secondary, vendors such as Rippling, Paylocity, UKG Ready, or ADP Workforce Now may be more aligned with that requirement.
- If the employer has under approximately 25–50 employees and prioritizes maximum operational simplicity, a PEO such as Justworks or TriNet may be operationally easier to adopt; PEO economics and tradeoffs should be modeled for the organization’s specific circumstances.
- If security and compliance documentation is a mandatory procurement gate and Lumity cannot provide required assurances (SOC reports, penetration test summaries, detailed hosting and data control descriptions), procurement may not approve the vendor.
