01Common complaints

Not recommended for teams whose primary requirement is a lightweight screen recorder
- Loom is generally a lower-cost, purpose-built option for rapid asynchronous recording.
Not recommended for buyers needing a large-scale video CMS or marketing video platform
- Vidyard may better support organizations seeking deep video hosting infrastructure, hubs, and broader integrations at scale.
Not recommended for workflows requiring advanced recording flexibility
- Multi-monitor capture constraints reported by some users suggest limitations for certain screen-share setups.
Not recommended if an organization requires fully transparent enterprise security documentation publicly available up front
- OneMob reports SOC 2 Type II compliance, but detailed public documentation of enterprise controls (SSO/SCIM/audit logs/data residency) is limited; some buyers may prefer vendors with more extensive public disclosures.
Not recommended for organizations with strict link governance or campaign reporting requirements
- At least one enterprise reviewer reported unique links per integrated email send, which can complicate tracking at scale.
Confirmed by user reviews
- Multi-monitor and screen sharing workflow constraints during recording.
- Limited control over placement of buttons and links on microsites (design flexibility).
- Unique link generation per integrated email send can create analytics and reporting friction at scale.
Vendor-acknowledged limitations / roadmap
- Public roadmap details were not found in accessible sources; product updates are shared via LinkedIn posts and blog content, but not as a structured roadmap with dates.
Scale limitations
- No explicit public limits were identified (storage, bandwidth, API limits). Buyers should validate:
  - Video hosting limits
  - Analytics retention period
  - Rate limits
  - SLA (particularly for Enterprise)
Security / compliance gaps (publicly)
- SOC 2 Type II is reported, but ISO certification and detailed enterprise security feature documentation are not clearly public.

Deal disqualifiers: what makes a poor fit

Organizations that only require basic screen recording and internal sharing.
Organizations that require public documentation of SSO/SCIM/audit logs and data residency and cannot verify these through a private security review.
Very price-sensitive teams that will not use microsites or analytics features extensively.

Why some customers left / churn reasons (evidence limitations)

Direct “we left for X” churn reviews were not prominent in accessible sources.
Likely churn drivers inferred from complaints and competitive pressure (inference, not direct evidence)
- Teams needing quick asynchronous screen recording may prefer Loom for lower cost.
- Teams wanting a broader video hosting and content management ecosystem may choose Vidyard.
- Teams with strict deliverability or link governance requirements might be disadvantaged by unique-link behavior.

Unique features and capabilities competitors may not emphasize

Why customers chose OneMob over alternatives (themes)

Microsites / digital sales room approach rather than only a video link
- Reviews and vendor positioning emphasize bundling video + collateral + CTAs into one tracked page, which is a differentiator versus tools that focus primarily on recording.
Engagement analytics as a workflow driver
- Multiple reviewers cite tracking and notifications as a prioritization mechanism for follow-up.
CRM alignment
- OneMob positions integration with Salesforce and also references Microsoft Dynamics; a strategic corporate/venture relationship supports that positioning.

Negative / critical review excerpts (direct quotes)

G2 (feature limitations)
- Multi-monitor / screen sharing limitation: “One Mob only allows me to share what's on the lap top… If I have an appraisal on one of my monitors, OneMob will not record me dragging the appraisal…” (Enterprise reviewer, Nov 5, 2025).
- Customization constraints: “There is a lack of placement options for Buttons and Links on the website…” (Enterprise reviewer, May 21, 2024).
- Link tracking at scale: “OneMob makes a unique link for every integrated email send which makes it extremely difficult to track activity at scale.” (Enterprise reviewer, Nov 2, 2023).
Reddit (cautionary context)
- Some community commentary suggests video outreach can come across as inappropriate if messaging is too pitch-heavy; the advice observed in discussions is to use video for rapport and clarity rather than a hard pitch.
