1) Strict security/privacy environments without clear vendor documentation
If an organization requires SOC 2 reports, detailed security pages, and explicit data-handling practices before running a pilot, the vendor may create friction unless security materials are provided under NDA promptly.
2) Primary need is contact data or sequencing
If the primary requirement is improved contact data or sequence management, platforms such as ZoomInfo or dedicated sales engagement tools may address those needs more directly.
3) Existing CRM-native relationship mapping is in place
If the organization already deploys CRM-native relationship mapping (for example, People.ai), the incremental value of an external relationship-intelligence tool should be demonstrated.
4) Low-network or greenfield selling motions
If selling into accounts where the seller organization has no historical relationships, relationship-intelligence systems may not produce enough warm introductions to justify cost.
