01Common complaints

If transparent, self-serve pricing and a fast, product-led trial process are required
- Directory listings and the vendor site do not consistently present clear pricing or trial availability; market perception is that buying is sales-led.
If reporting and analytics are the primary requirement
- Several reviews and excerpts indicate reporting may require additional effort or interpretation.
If you anticipate very high data volumes and require proven performance at scale
- Review excerpts reference lag or hanging when processing large datasets.
If your security/compliance team requires publicly posted third-party certifications (SOC 2/ISO) before engaging
- Certifications and a detailed security posture were not prominently documented in the public sources reviewed.
If best-of-breed creative workflow and client approvals must be the system of record
- Specialist proofing platforms are likely a better fit for proofing/approval workflows.
Reporting limitations
- Reviews indicate reporting can be fiddly, may lack features, and outputs may require interpretation or additional configuration.
Performance limitations
- Some reviews report lag or hanging when working with heavy data sets.
Public trust/security documentation gap
- No prominent public SOC 2 or ISO 27001 documentation was found for Pegasus Systems on the vendor site in the sources reviewed.
Roadmap dependency
- The vendor emphasizes regular product updates and a client portal for roadmap visibility; buyers should verify that roadmap items align with their priority gaps (reporting, performance, UI).

Deal disqualifiers (poor fit)

Agency only needs lightweight task or project management without integrated accounting
Organization requires best-in-class creative proofing/approvals as the primary workflow (Pegasus may need to be paired with specialist proofing tools)
Security and compliance documentation (SOC 2/ISO) are mandatory gating criteria and cannot be provided satisfactorily during procurement

02Why they buy

Finance-oriented agency ERP positioning
- The vendor presents Pegasus Edge as a finance-oriented layer that integrates general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job operations in a single product.
Media operations within a finance context
- Public materials emphasize that media booking and supplier reconciliation are handled within the same system as financial management.
Documented integration capabilities
- The vendor documents API integrations with common agency tools (resource planning, project management, media reporting, AP automation) and indicates partners undergo security checks prior to connection.
Balanced view (where competitors may have an advantage)
- Some competitors provide more modern UI/UX and more extensive out-of-the-box reporting and dashboards.
- Other vendors have clearer public pricing and a more visible market presence.

03Field reports

Important context: review-source ambiguity

Several review platforms (notably G2) appear to contain reviews that reference low-code/no-code development and platform features associated with a different vendor (Pegasystems / Pega). This suggests misattribution or category confusion in some review listings. Treat G2 content as potentially noisy for this specific vendor, and cross-check with agency-focused signals (directory category, vendor positioning, and integration ecosystem).

G2 (mixed signals; includes complaints)

Positive examples (quotes)
- “I can say that Pegasus is helpful for our creative agency. It integrates project operations management, financial operations management, and client outreach in one application.” (G2 reviewer)
- “real-time tracking… campaign management… Project management” (G2 reviewer)
Negative/critical examples (quotes)
- “There are instances that it lacks features especially for reporting purposes. The reports it generates needs to be reinterpreted before it can be used properly.” (G2 reviewer)
- “Doing reports could be a bit fidly…” (G2 reviewer)
- “The application sometimes start working slowely or lags a lot when ever we try to process or insert heavy or larger data sets…” (G2 reviewer)
- “Sometimes the tool gets hanged when I loa[d] too much data in it… If the data load increases, it doesn't work well.” (G2 reviewer)
- “not much convenient User interface for the customers” (G2 reviewer)
- “It should have more cost effective” (G2 reviewer)
Interpretation
- Common criticism themes in the accessible excerpts include reporting usability and accuracy, performance and lag at higher data volumes, UI convenience, and cost/value perception. Given the potential for misattributed reviews on this platform, treat these signals as noisy and validate with vendor references and demos.

Capterra (limited sample size)

Capterra lists Pegasus under Advertising Agency Software with a moderate overall rating based on a very small number of reviews — this is a directional signal with high uncertainty.
The listing describes an end-to-end system covering finance, job time/cost, and resource administration, linking briefs → resourcing → estimates → orders → supplier costs → timesheets → invoicing/payments.
Because of the small review count, treat Capterra sentiment as directional only.

TrustRadius

A directory entry indicates no public pricing plans and no free version or trial listed; no detailed TrustRadius reviews page for Pegasus Systems was identified in this research (search results frequently returned entries for a different vendor).

Reddit / community discussions

Direct community discussions about Pegasus Systems (agency ERP) were difficult to find; searches for “Pegasus” heavily skew toward unrelated topics (Pegasus spyware, gaming frontends, space/other “Pegasus” projects).
A Reddit post exists that appears promotional and not a substantive user review; it is not strong evidence for customer experience.
Practical implication
- The limited authentic community footprint makes it harder to validate real-world implementation challenges, support quality, and ROI claims via peer discussion; procurement teams should request reference calls with agencies of similar size and region.

Case Studies

Vendor-published / vendor-controlled evidence

The vendor's public materials emphasize feature and product updates more than detailed, independently validated case studies reporting quantified ROI.
Blog and thought-leadership posts cite external research and industry sources; these references are illustrative and are not direct measures of Pegasus customer ROI.

Product updates as operational evidence

Pegasus Systems publishes regular product updates and provides roadmap visibility via a client portal.
Critical verification items for prospective buyers to raise with the vendor:
- How consistently are roadmap items delivered on schedule in recent periods?
- What is the vendor’s SLA and historical uptime performance?
- Which support-ticket categories account for the largest share of volume?
