Perforce Gliffy is a diagramming application that embeds creation, storage, and in-place editing of technical diagrams directly within Atlassian Confluence (with a separate app for Jira), enabling documentation-centric teams to maintain flowcharts, network and architecture diagrams without separate external diagram tools.

Perforce’s Gliffy Customer Handbook lists examples of issues by severity (e.g., diagrams not loading, conversion failures, inability to save or export), indicating the vendor has defined operational categories and response targets. The handbook does not, however, provide prevalence metrics.
A dated public roadmap with committed timelines was not found in the reviewed sources. The vendor operates a design partnership program and solicits user feedback that may influence future development, but buyers should request explicit roadmap commitments during procurement if roadmap alignment is a selection criterion.
This section synthesizes feedback from public review platforms and community discussion forums. It includes positive and negative sentiment and notes that review-site content can be subject to sampling bias.
A sampled TrustRadius page indicated an average rating in the mid-range and summarized user feedback noting that Gliffy supports basic wireframing and diagramming with a low learning curve, but lacks advanced features expected by specialist UI/UX prototyping tools.
Community posts provide anecdotal and varied perspectives. Some users compared Gliffy unfavorably to draw.io on cost grounds, while others described specific operational problems (e.g., diagrams not displaying correctly or difficulties with version restoration). Community feedback is often blunt and should be treated as individual anecdotes rather than representative samples.
Older Hacker News discussion threads include detailed user reports of editor ergonomics and performance problems on complex diagrams (for example: slow browser performance on large diagrams, behaviors around copying and grouping objects, and connector endpoint stability). These reports indicate that editor ergonomics and performance can be a significant factor for teams that maintain large, actively updated architecture diagrams.

Your primary requirement is UI/UX prototyping rather than documentation diagrams.
You are highly price-sensitive and diagramming is an occasional need.
You require diagrams-as-code workflows (Mermaid/PlantUML) with repo-native diffs and CI pipelines.
You need near-perfect migration fidelity with minimal manual cleanup at scale.
Public reviews on G2 include a range of views. Some reviewers described the editor as intuitive and noted features such as automatic rendering of text-based diagram formats in some workflows and layout helpers (e.g., guides/grids). Other reviewers reported that imports from other tools can produce formatting differences (e.g., line thickness, label positions, fonts) that require manual adjustments.

Perforce Gliffy is a diagramming application integrated with Atlassian Confluence (and available for Jira via a separate app). It enables teams to create, store, and maintain technical diagrams (flowcharts, network diagrams, architecture diagrams, etc.) directly within Confluence pages, avoiding the need to rely on external diagram tools or separate user logins. Perforce presents Gliffy as suitable for enterprise deployments and references security posture (e.g., SOC 2) and participation in Atlassian Marketplace programs (e.g., Cloud Fortified).
