Splunk Observability Cloud is Splunk’s SaaS observability platform for collecting and analyzing metrics, traces, and logs to support full-stack monitoring and troubleshooting. It is described by the vendor as OpenTelemetry-native and intended to reduce mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to resolve (MTTR) by correlating telemetry across infrastructure and applications in near real time. It aggregates multiple capabilities commonly purchased separately (APM, infrastructure monitoring, log exploration, RUM, synthetics, profiling, alerting/event correlation).
Splunk’s explainer page frames the portfolio as correlating "metrics, events, logs, and traces" and lists the core components of Observability Cloud as APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, Log Observer, RUM, and Synthetic Monitoring. (Vendor framing; not independently validated.)
Primary target: mid-market to large enterprises running hybrid/multi-cloud and/or Kubernetes/microservices, especially organizations already using Splunk for logs/SIEM that seek tighter correlation between logs, metrics, and traces.
