Taraxa is a public, EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain that uses a blockDAG + PoS architecture (the project refers to its consensus as “t-Graph”). The design focus reported by the project is higher transactional throughput, reduced latency, and lower transaction fees compared with some other EVM chains, while aiming for fast finality. The project is positioned in vendor materials as infrastructure for DeFi and social-analytics dApps; historically the project has also referenced use cases such as audit logging of informal transactions and verifiable event trails.
Taraxa’s product surface can be described as:
- An EVM-compatible smart contract chain intended to support standard Ethereum tooling (ethers.js/web3.py/MetaMask, etc.).
- A staking and validator network with delegation.
- A set of ecosystem components: RPC endpoints, explorers, bridges, and developer documentation.
