1) Only requires a legal research library
If the primary need is access to statutes, case law, and broad specialist commentary, standalone legal research services (e.g., beck-online, juris) may be more suitable and potentially lower cost for small teams.
2) Inability to operationalize local content governance
If the organization cannot commit resources to maintain local rules, templates, and guidance or cannot align stakeholders to update content, the local-content value proposition will be difficult to realize.
3) Requirement for publicly verifiable product-level security certifications
If procurement or policy requires publicly documented, product-specific SOC 2/ISO certifications and the vendor cannot provide equivalent artifacts, alternatives or contractual security addenda may be necessary.
4) Strategy to minimize single-vendor dependency
If IT strategy emphasizes modular systems and easy replacement, integrations and vendor editorial dependency may increase exit costs and should be considered.
5) Fachverfahren integration mismatch
If the primary workflow depends on deep integration and the vendor supports only a narrow set of Fachverfahren, expected productivity gains may not be achieved without additional integration work.
